This beautifully illustrated downloadable PDF pattern includes instructions for a standard sized iPad, the iPad mini, and all Kindle sizes (up to 2013), including the HD 8.9”.
Your pattern will be available to download onto your own computer after the transaction is paid for. The file size is 2.52 MB and contains 1 color page for the cover and 8 black and white illustrated pages so it's easy on your printer's ink. See sample page in photos.
This beautiful iPad cover will keep your device protected in style. The outside can be made with the sweet ruffle or the practical pocket (or make it with the ruffle on one side and the pocket on the other!). If you’re in a hurry or just want a simple cover you can omit both the ruffle and the pocket options.
With solid construction and a not-too-bulky layer of padding your device will be free from scratches and denting while looking great.
If you are new to sewing or have years of experience you will enjoy making this
great cover. You just have to be able to sew a straight line!
•For the outer fabric you need less than 1/2 yard of fabric (much less for the smaller device covers). I recommend any cotton, linen, or home decor fabric (nothing heavier than a sateen for the ruffle though). Be sure to pick some fabrics that you love! You can’t go wrong with pretty fabrics and there are so many designs to choose from!
•For the padding you only need an 18” x 11” piece of batting or felt.
•For the lining you need an 18” x 11” piece of any lightweight cotton or flannel fabric.
•For the button use a 3/4” to 1” button with two holes.
•For the loop use braided loop, 1/8” elastic, or a sewn loop (instructions included).
•Rotary cutter/mat (optional)
•Glue stick (optional)
