One of these stockings can be made in just a few hours for the experienced seamstress. You will get all the pattern pieces and instructions to make both stockings. Each stocking measures 15" long (not including the hanger) and are nice and sturdy so Santa can stuff, stuff, stuff! I've given you very easy instructions and illustrations to hand applique the applique guys to the fabric before putting them together. Of course if you like to machine applique instead, no problem! The stockings are fully lined with no visible raw edges anywhere for a completely neat and finished look. The cuff is left blank so you can personalize with a name if you wish.
I've made my patterns very easy to read and understand. I give you a complete list of everything you will need to complete the project. I've broken everything down into step by step instructions and have included full color photos and illustrations. The pattern pieces are very crisp and neatly drawn using a computer program.
Supplies needed to make 1 stocking
(if making both, just double the fabrics, fusible fleece & fusible webbing):
3/8 yard of fabric for outside of stocking
5/8 yard of fabric for lining, cuff, and hanger
3/8 yard of fusible fleece interfacing (Pellon brand was used in this project)
1/4 yard of paperbacked fusible webbing (I use Heat N Bond Lite)
Small scraps of fabric for appliques
Embroidery floss to match or contrast with your applique fabrics
Sewing thread to match fabrics
Scissors, pins, sewing and embroidery needles, embroidery hoop, paper & pencil, paper or cardstock (for printing pattern pieces & making template), iron & ironing board, sewing machine, cutting mat with ruler & rotary cutter (optional but helpful), pressing cloth or piece of light colored, 100% cotton fabric for fusing your fleece to the top (depending on the brand you use, some fusible fleece instructions call for it).
You can use my patterns for personal use and to make things that you sell from your website, online shops, and craft shows.
All photos were taken by me, and all illustrations, pattern pieces, and instructions were created by me. You can not redistribute the pattern, images, or photos in any way. You also can not claim the finished item as your own design.
