“super easy to make”

-Difficulty Level: Confident beginner/intermediate (no previous experience with stretch knit fabric required)
-Fabric Requirements: For best results, for the bodice/straps use a stretch knit fabric with at least 50-75% stretch, preferably with 5% (or more) added Lycra. All other components can be made with woven fabric.

The Roxanne Knit Bodice Cap Sleeve Dress is another adorable and extremely versatile pattern from Foofoo Threads. Not only can you make a sweet dress for the little girl in your life, but you can also make a fun, flirty and comfortable dress for yourself. The fully lined bodice and wide, gathered straps are made up of comfortable stretch knit fabric. This design includes three different skirt options to choose from, all of which can be made in woven or knit fabric. The first is a circle skirt made up of 8 flared panels with optional ruched ruffles sewn to alternating panels. The second option is a two tiered skirt with an optional ruched ruffle sewn along the center seam. The third option is a tulle ballerina style tutu skirt, perfect for parties and special occasions. All of the versions can be made with the optional sash that can be tied either in front or in back. Pattern pieces for the girls’ bodice include two cutting lines: empire waist or natural waist. The women’s bodice includes a cutting line for the natural waist only. This project is perfect for a confident beginner or intermediate sewist, (no previous experience with knits is required). The girls’ pattern pieces include sizes 3-6M to 11/12 while the women’s pattern pieces include XXS (bust 32”) up to XXL (bust 44”). Happy stitching!
