After a botanist in 1852 developed the first machine to fold envelope style paper bags, it took a woman to perfect it. In the early 1900’s Margaret Knight put nearly ninety items under her inventors hat. But her crowning achievement was the machine that folded and glued flat bottom paper bags: today’s modern grocery bag.
In 2008 we have altered the paper bag yet again, with our version, sewn with reusable materials. Welcome us to the list of bag inventors.
Bee Wise Bags was born from the spirit of our small company. Although we still design, construct and sell our ever growing line of goods, we wanted to give the same opportunity to creative DIY readers. Our projects are fun to make, a joy to give and our small way of contributing to a better world. We want our book to assist every reader and how they complete a project. This book will serve as a detailed written and diagrammed springboard for your creations.
Come sit and let us inspire you!
