What a little angel! This is a surprisingly simple dress to make, with beautiful finished details - French seams, and 2 ruffles that look like 4, which is a great time saver. The bodice is an original design without buttons, snaps or a zipper. Just an easy hidden elastic casing that allows room to move, and grow. Once you try this exclusive bodice design, you'll wonder why all bodices aren't designed this way.

Sizes 18M-12

*Newly Revised! I have addressed the comments and added more details, photos and diagrams to make the instructions easier to understand. 4/30/2012

A gorgeous little dress-I made two in white for my girls and they LOVE them. I had to adjust the bodice pattern so the front straps would be closer together; they seemed to be set too wide for both of my girls (one with a much broader chest than the other). Not a very quick pattern just because of all the narrow hemming and turning the long straps, but it's easy sewing and a real stunner!

Cute dress however the instructions could have been a little clearer written or more pictures for the french seams, etc.

I'm remaking the bodice pieces for two of these dresses, to be worn as summer nightgowns. Fabric is cotton lawn. My granddaughters are 10 & 8. The chest measurements are (10) " and (8) 23". I followed your instructions for cutting pattern templates, fabric bodice pieces and elastics.
However the 10-year-old barely got the bodice over her shoulders and the 8-year-old couldn't manage at all. I will be recutting the back pieces about 3 inches longer for the width. As the fabric has an all-over butterfly design and I only have a 1/4-yd left, the practice pieces will be in a solid white, until I get it right. Nehmah-who would post this in an e-mail but can't find one for you.

LOVE this pattern!! i made flower girl dresses for both of my little ones! I altered the pattern, made 6 ruffles, and made it alot fuller, so I wouldn't have to put slits in the sides, the overall look was gorgeous!

I think this is a super cute twist on the basic halter dress.
I enjoyed making it. I will make more.
It was fast and easy. Makes for a pretty dress. I think I will forgo the 2 layers of ruffles to look like 4 and make 4 rows so I can use some of my cute prints with this pattern.

Beautiful dress but there were some unclear instructions. If I were a beginner I don't know that I would have figured this out. I absolutely love the dress and have made three waiting on the perfect fabric to make more.
