Moody Milly & Moody Max are quite expressive!! Sometimes they’re happy, sometimes sad or even mad! Turn them about to see what mood they are in today! A reproduction pattern of a vintage doll. This palm-sized doll’s cloth body is stuffed with dried beans. Use rayon fringe, yarns or trim for the hair. Hand draw happy and sad faces using fabric markers, on both sides of the head. They stand about 7” tall by 5” at their fullest width. Not intended for children under 3 yrs. of age.
One 14" x 10" piece of fabric for main body
One 3" x 5" piece of felt for hands and feet
One 3” x 7” piece of muslin or canvas for head
Permanent fabric pens for drawings faces
3/4 to 1 cup of dried beans (millet, soybeans)
One small 3/8" to 1/2" wide piece (not more
than 2” long) of ribbon trim for neckband
Polyester stuffing for head
Threads for machine and hand sewing to match fabrics and trims
FOR MILLY’S HAIR – Embroidery floss – 12
strands about 18"– 20" long cut into 3
lengths to braid, plus more strands to wrap
and secure braid ends. (Use fewer strands if
a thicker yarn is chosen for hair braid.)
FOR MAX’S HAIR – Moss or loop fringe,
chenille or rayon chainette trim or any
1/2"– 3/4" wide fuzzy upholstery trim. Length
about 1" – 1-1/4" long
