Sadly, the measurements for the sizing is w-a-y off!
I made a size 5, as per the recommendations after measuring my Daughter, and when the skirt was completed it had far too much fabric in it - The bubble effect was lost due to the masses of fabric, and to be honest, it loooked a mess.
I am by no means a beginner sewer, and have over 20 patterns from YCMT, all of which have been made perfectly by myself - I have since altered the pattern and re-sized it to ensure it makes a better looking skirt. This is something you don't want to have to do when you have bought a pattern, as you do expect the sizing/measurements to correlate!
Great skirt! I love how easy it went together.
I like this bubble skirt and it was very cute on my niece. The pattern is very easy to follow and it takes no time to put it all together.
