This eye-catching design allows unlimited options for combining various colors and fabrics. It is made of one or two exterior fabrics, interior fabric and a buckle.
Features:
- one large front exterior lined slip pocket on the front side of the bag.
- one main interior compartment (lining) with one slip pocket, which can be divided in two and one zippered pocket.
- the bag closes with a magnetic snap and is decorated with a buckle. Any buckles with an inner diameter of 1 1/2 - 2” (4 - 5 cm) will be suitable.

Fabrics if width is 44”or 140 cm for the Bicolor (B&W) bag:
- 2/3 yard (50 cm) lining fabric
- 1 1/4 yards (70 cm) main (white) exterior fabric
- 1/2 yard (40 cm) second (black) exterior fabric

Fabrics if width is 44”or 140 cm for the Gray bag:
- 2/3 yard (50 cm) lining fabric
- 2 yards (160 cm) gray exterior fabric
- 1/2 yard (35 cm) knit exterior fabric
*if you’d like to repurpose a sweater, like I did, it needs to be at least 22”(56 cm) wide

For both bag options you’ll need also:
- a buckle of your choice with an inner diameter of 1 1/2 - 2” (4 - 5 cm)
- a magnetic snap
- 7” (18 cm) regular zipper for the inside pocket
- matching threads
- 1/8 yard (10 cm) interfacing for the inside pocket zipper placement.

- *optional* 1 yard (1 m) of fusible batting or alternative interfacing of your choice for the exterior of the bag if your exterior fabric is of quilting weight. Also use this for any other kind of exterior fabric if you want to add support and structure to your bag and to avoid the slouchy look. For the B&W option I used 1/2 yard (35 cm) auto headliner, which is 2/8“ (3 mm) thick and 55” (140 cm) wide.
You Will Also Need:
- scissors
- tailor's chalk
- sewing machine with a zipper foot
- iron & ironing board
- measuring tape
- pins
- pencil
- printer and regular printing paper
- scotch tape
- a pair of pliers for removing the buckle’s prong (if there is one)
