I have always loved the classics and school girl style is about as classic as it gets. Kinley is my version of a kilt-type wrap around skirt. It features a hidden button on the inside with an elastic loop to secure the skirt and two button loops on the outside of the skirt for closures as well as for style. Kinley has a wider waistband with elastic in the back for a comfortable fit. This little kilt has larger pleats that you expect with a skirt like this.
Just a quick note:
This skirt is perfect for those of you who have
little girls who need to wear a school uniform.
In this pattern you will find all the instructions for making this adorable school girl kilt. However, if you have purchased any of my other patterns this one is going to be a bit different. There will be a little more work on your part for figuring out a few things but in the end you will have a custom made skirt for your little girl based off of her measurements that will fit perfectly. Not to worry. . . this is going to be fun and not that difficult and I will walk you through every step.
