As a beginner, this pattern is super easy and turns out awesome! Only having to cut one pattern piece (the armhole guide) makes this a beginners dream. The dress turned out gorgeous! Love all the different options you can do!

Great communication with the author, but not a big fan of this pattern.

I'm a bit disappointed with this pattern. First there's no actual pattern making this a more difficult endeavor for a new sewer like me and second the instructions are no where near as clear as Carly C's patterns which is what I have come to expect from Even though there's an option for putting on a band, there are no clear instructions and it completely confused me. Not happy, wish I had purchased a different pattern.

Be sure to read this pattern very carefully before you do anything. This thing is FULL of after thoughts. Example...she tells you all about how to put the ruffles on the front, pics and everything. THEN, she says after all that to be sure you put the bias around the armpits first! It's cute when done, but her steps need some reworking.

This pattern, like all the Hadley Grace Design Patterns I have purchased, is so easy to follow and has TONS of pictures. I am not sure what the other reviewer is referring to as afterthoughts, because I found it easy to read and easy to follow. I would definitely recommend any Hadley Grace Designs Patterns. She has cute designs and makes them one of a kind with some fun twists. Love this pattern and all the options that are included with it!!
