This pattern is simple to sew which makes it great for a beginner. Directions are short and precise, though I did find that if you zigzag the edges of the core before you sew it on the outside pad it creates thinner core edges. The sizes are great for teens or petite women. If you want larger sizes the author offers this same design with three additional sizes via her website. I bought several patterns from different designers and this pattern by far iwas the easiest to put together. Happy sewing!
