These stockings are made completely by hand from beginning to end so no sewing machine is even needed. First you go around the appliques with blanket stitches, then glue them to the stocking.

They measure about 13 1/2" tall, not including the hanger

Supplies needed to make both stockings:
1/3 yard of green 72” felt will make both stockings (2/3 yard if using 36” felt)
9” x 12” felt squares
~2 red (one for each stocking)
~1 grey (cat)
~1 brown (dog)
~1 tan (dog)
~1 white (cat and dog)
1 skein of white embroidery floss
3 skeins of black embroidery floss
3-Demensional paint, black (I used Scribbles)
4 - 10” lengths of 1/4” wide red ribbon
Good quality craft glue (I like Fabri-Tac by Beacon or Aleene’s Thick Designer Tacky)
**Don’t use a runny glue because it will just absorb into the felt and it won’t hold.
Marking pencils, scissors, straight pins, needle
