Kim Christopherson

Kim Christopherson is the founder www.YouCanMakeThis.com, www.SWAKembroidery.com, and www.YouCanQuiltThis.com. When starting the sites, Kim wanted to provide a place where people could learn how to make items for their homes and families. She has always loved the creative process and the joy it brings and loves to see others do the same.

After several years in the e-commerce world, Kim has become a seasoned entrepreneur with a knack for focusing on the customer. Kim leads the "YCMT" team with a passionate emphasis on our customers and how to deliver the best experience for them.

Between juggling children's schedules with karate, piano lessons, and homework, she enjoys sewing, crafting, quilting, photography, and embroidery. Kim is also a frequent and popular speaker on entrepreneurship, women in business, and succeeding online.

Kris Thurgood

Kris stays busy as the site manager of SWAKembroidery.com and is one of the core team members running YouCanMakeThis.com. She is a fun and crafty mom of four. In case you're seeing a resemblance, yes, she is also Kim's identical twin sister.

Kris loves creating and produces numerous machine embroidery designs, quilting patterns, home decor ideas and more. Some people would say Kris is a busybody, and they would be right. Her need to "always be doing something" and express herself comes out in many fun and fresh creations. She loves entertaining, volunteering in the community and enjoying her family.

Sherrie Tucker

Sherrie is the assistant site manager for YouCanMakeThis. She is able to get a sneak peek at new ebooks coming in before adding them to the site and is our customer service gal. Her degree as a Dental Assistant has allowed her to assist painful procedures with a smile. This has come in handy numerous times while standing behind the scenes watching Kim sweat on live local TV.

Sherrie followed her sewing passion from a long line of seamstresses. Before finding YouCanMakeThis, she taught children's sewing classes for 5+ years and eventually found her way to the internet to make money for her fabric habit. She has a small slew of children ranging from 3 years old to 12. Three girls and one boy has allowed her to find multiple uses for her fabric collection.

Rachel Bartholomew

Rachel is the authoring director of YouCanMakeThis.com. Rachel has been working "behind the scenes" working with the authors and YCMT testers for the past year. She helps authors get their ebooks ready for listing with YCMT.

Rachel comes from a long family line of crafters and sewers. She is a "true southerner" and loves real BBQ and college basketball. She loves "March Madness." Rachel recently earned her Masters in Education. She loves spending most of her time reading children's literature and hanging out with one of 14.5 nieces and nephews.

Michelle Gibas

Michelle is our resident machine embroidery expert at SWAKembroidery.com, handling technical customer service, helping new embroiderers as well as uploading designs.

Michelle is a self taught sewer, machine embroiderer and digitizer since 1997. She home schools her daughter and loves to sew, garden, and read. She is also a certified Usui Reiki Master.

Courtney Braddock

Courtney's first visit to YCMT was love at first site. She got the opportunity to know Kim and Kris when she was picked as a contestant in YCMT's "Thrifty 50" contest. When Courtney was asked about a job with YCMT of course she said YES! Courtney helps in the YCMT Marketing Department, specifically working with "Mommy Bloggers" for reviews and giveaways. The best thing about her job is giving away amazing eBooks from YCMT!

Courtney is a busy Wife and Mommy that spends every spare second she has sewing for her family and designing new patterns.

Shelli Christiansen

Shelli is a former school teacher, turned full-time mom, turned part-time designer. Creating home decor items that feature sewing and embroidery is what she's crazy about (well, of course in line next to her hubby and kids).

Shelli also collaborates with the fabulous crew at YCMT to provide you with unique monthly projects that are offered to you for free through the blog and newsletters. In addition to sewing and stitching and all the usual motherly duties, Shelli works hard just to keep the walls of her home standing against the craziness and commotion created by her four kiddos!
