“Great Pattern !”

Sugar and spice and everything nice, that’s what the Zoe skirt is made of. A sweet confection of lace, ruffles and lots of fun, this skirt is sure to be a hit with girls of many ages. The basic style is so sweet for the little ones but cut off some old jeans to serve as a yoke for the skirt and it's now funky enough for the fashion conscious tween. This skirt is intended for use by levels from confident advanced beginner and up. It may take a bit more time than simpler styles but it's worth the effort.

Since the skirt has an elastic waist, the sizing is based on the finished length you want. This allows you to easily customize the length based on your preference rather than a set length for a specific size. This will work for sizes from 2T up to at least an 8. With the optional yoke (jean or otherwise), it can go even higher for size since the yoke will add to the length.

The e-book includes:
* 28 pages of step-by-step instructions to make skirts 9" - 16" in length
* 38 color photos and illustrations
* Options for using a yoke, such as cut off jeans
* Also includes instructions to make a skirt for 15 - 18" dolls or stuffed animals

Materials you'll need:
Fabric:
* Woven 'quilters' cotton or similar weight: 3 prints for a total of 1 1/3 - 1 3/4 yards depending on skirt length
* Sheer/lace fabric: 3/8 - 2/3 yard depending on skirt length

Notions:
* Thread
* 1" elastic cut to length for waist

Equipment you'll need:
Sewing machine, scissors, ruler or measuring tape, iron and ironing board, straight pins

Recommended equipment:
Although a serger is optional, I love the detail it adds as an edge finish. Of course a traditional hem can be used if a serger isn't available.

*Note: These are downloadable instructions and patterns for making a skirt. This skirt is just so fun!! It is such a girly look. My daughter loves it. The directions are great and very easy to follow. It looks cute as a skirt or even attached to a bodice for a dress. Will be making more Zoe skirts!!
