The woodland animal softies are fun and simple to make! They are stitched entirely by hand, using a whip stitch around the felt edges, a running stitch across the arms and legs, and a straight stitch for the muzzle line on the fox, deer and raccoon. The body-head-ears-arms-&-legs are all together in one pattern shape for each softie – they are not attached separately which can be time consuming and difficult. The finished animals are approximately 3.5” x 5.5”. They are made from scraps of felt. Enlarge or reduce patterns to make the animals different sizes. Safety eyes are used for samples – other options for the eyes, are to make them using embroidery, paint or felt.
This 7 page PDF e-pattern includes full size patterns to make four woodland animals – a fox, deer, raccoon & owl; a materials list; detailed instructions written in English; and clear step-by-step photos.
