The Fairytale Dress
Description
A beautiful layered handkerchief hem dress for your little princess! Full, rustly, double-layered skirts, lace-up bodice and 'reverse knot' back that ties in a big bow. Beautiful strappy dress on its own or a lovely jumper dress over a peasant top or tee (patterns not included).
Sizes included: 12-18 months, 18-24 months, 2, 3, 4 and 5.
Level: confident beginner. Buttonholing is recommended, though complete instructions are included for creating the dress with no buttonholes.

Materials
• Light to midweight cotton fabric without directional print, 44” wide for each of overskirt and underskirt: sizes 12-18 months, 18-24 months and 2 years, 1 yard; all larger sizes, 1.5 yards. This is enough of each fabric to make a skirt and either the bodices or ties, see the cutting layouts. Net or tulle can be used for one of the layers, it must be at least 42” wide.
• 1 yard ribbon for lacing bodice, type and width of your choice
• (Optional if you choose not to use buttonholes: 6 grommets and a grommet-setting tool; additional 2.5” x 9” piece of fabric for back loops)

I love Love LOVE this pattern! I have created & stitched embroidery pattern on the bodice & dress tiers that just make this dress pop! So much fun & so adorable. Super Cute Dress!! I love how the shoulder straps are adjustable by just tying the bow in the back of the dress. Very easy pattern to follow!! Super fast to make!! Instructions and pictures are perfect!! Great dress for all ages!!

This dress is fantastic! The pattern/instructions are more intermediate though. It is understood that you are very familiar with sewing techniques and various gathering techniques as well as button holes. Over all a wonderfully well written pattern! Love the dress!
