This is a CarlaC/Jennifer Paganelli collaboration! Two great minds working together for your benefit.
The Sophie Tunic is a cool, classic top for girls sized 6/12 months to 11/12 years. It is simple to sew, and a great way to showcase stunning fabrics. With a range of sleeve and length options, there are design possibilities for all seasons. A stylish tunic can be worn with jeans or leggings for casual fun, or paired with a pretty skirt for a dressier look. A long tunic makes the perfect cover-up for lounging by the pool or walking on the beach.
Three separate sleeve patterns are provided for each size: a short sleeve, a long sleeve, and a cuffed sleeve. The short sleeve has an additional cutting line for cap length. The long and cuffed sleeves have multiple cutting lines to make a range of lengths from ¾ to full. The keyhole neckline is finished with a facing, which can be made from a contrasting fabric and placed on outside of the garment. Sweet ribbon ties or a little button/loop fastener can be added as well.
Materials:
-Notions - thread, straight pins, fabric marking pencil, ribbon or button (optional)
-Fabric - 1-3 yards, depending on size, style, and options.

I love all the sisboom and CarlaC patterns. Carla really does the best at writing out patterns that are easy to understand and to follow. I have made several of these as beach coverups, using all different types of fabrics. Really is one of my favorites.

Anothe threat design from Carla and Jennifer. This is a great top and I am going to make it as a cover up for the summer. A must have pattern.

I've made several tops from this pattern for my girls. Fantastic, easy to follow directions. Making one for myself from the Patricia pattern right now.

I've already left a testimonial on this top but I wanted to add to it. I took my baby into the sewing store wearing a Sophie tunic I had made. The lady commented on how professional the top looked. I do not consider myself a pro but it made me feel good to get that compliment from someone like her. The authors of this pattern get all the credit cause I certainly couldn't make something look so good without the wonderfully thorough directions and illustrations. Thanks for making me look like a pro!

Once again Carla makes sewing seem easy! This pattern came together beautifully with the great directions provided. I definitely recommend it for a beginner! And just looking at the gorgeous fabrics of Jennifer Paganelli has me excited to make many more variations! This tunic is perfect with jeans, shorts or leggings or as a cover-up for the beach.

CarlaC does it again. This is a wonderful pattern written in true CarlaC fashion. Beginner instructions, with prfessional results. I LOVE how each step is detailed and set out so a beginner can understand. I also like the easy lines/styles can be dolled up for the more experienced sewer. Thanks to Jennifer Paganelli also. I LOVE her fabrics and will be making some of these up in her fabrics also.

Such a wonderful pattern! As with all of CarlaC's patterns everything is super easy and she helps the new sewer to create things they never thought they could make. She also helps a seasoned seamstress to be even better! This pattern is great for all ages! Congratulations to CarlaC and Jennifer Paganelli on a wonderful new pattern. I hope this is the 1st of many more from these 2 talents.

Love it. I usually skip any pattern with sleeves but this one was really cute and just up my ally in style. Try it, if you ever felt intimidated by sleeves don't be with this one, its so easy with the instructions given. If only they all could be this easy. I would be a pro; I am making a 2nd top for my middle daughter today. I love this pattern and see it very useful for a summer wardrobe. pookie

I love this pattern! It only took me an easy afternoon for the entire project. The directions for the facings and sleeves, which can be tricky, were especially easy to follow. My only word of caution is the sizing. My daughter wears a 7/8 consistently. I made the 7/8 and it was huge on her, so I whipped up the 5/6 and it fit perfectly. I'll definitely make some more using all the variation provided in the pattern. I can't wait to buy my next Jennifer/Carla collaboration.
