Instructions are given to make fabric water bottle covers in two sizes. They will fit 16.9 ounce and 24 ounce bottles. The covers make wonderful gifts. Patterns and instructions are included to make covers that look like beetle/ladybug or plain covers. Cotton fabrics were used for sample covers.

This PDF e-pattern includes measurements for cutting fabric, a materials list, detailed instructions written in English, and step-by-step photographs.

Materials List for One Cover:

-Medium weight solid or print fabrics – 1/4 yard for strips across top of cover & lining,
-1/4 yard contrasting for bottom of cover, 1/8 yard contrasting for strap
-Fusible fleece or cotton batting – 1/4 yard
-Narrow double fold bias tape – 30” piece for bug legs & antennae
-Buttons with two holes – two 3/4” white & two 1/2” black for bug eyes
-Sewing thread – white & coordinating color

There are six pages of instructions and twenty-five photographs.

Anyone who has kids know how adorable these are. They were easy to make and I love them because bu the end of the year I have usually made one for every student in my childs class for birthday gifts. Love that they can hang them up and with multiple washing they have really done well. Have had to replace the eyes a couple of times but not a biggie

I made one for my just skipped the long handle and added some little loops for his belt and it came out great. I am going to make regular ones for the kids for disney world. Great pattern!
