If you want to know how to isolate a design / motif / element from a repeat design in fabric, say from a licensed fabric with a sports team's logo, and turn it into wearables, a lapel pin / fashion jewelry / brooch / badge / flair, if you want to wear a fabric pin or brooch, but want it washable, you can do it with this pattern download. You can sew it, or have a no sew project, using hot glue and print the patterns directly onto Therm o Web HeatnBond Ultrahold paper back iron on interfacing fabric adhesive, using your inkjet printer. I will show you how to isolate a design element, that is repeated in the fabric, using clear vinyl or a clear sheet protector page, to isolate the design. I have 5 pattern printable pages, including one for Philadelphia Eagles word logo and Swoop eagle logo, 2 x 1 1/2", 3x3", 3x2", 1x2", and the Eagles 3" x 1 1/2". Print the patterns onto Ultrahold, found at Michaels, Joanns, Walmart, or AC Moore, cut to 8 1/2" x 11" - five yard roll at Michaels yields 32 - 8 1/2" x 11" sheets for $10.99 before coupon, that's $0.32 per sheet! Iron it to the back of the fabric, cut out the panels, cut away the corners, fold under and iron down the seam allowances on all 4 sides printed, and assemble by sewing or use hot glue. Leave an opening at the top, to make a pocket for the pin back to slide in and out, or you can slide it in and out through the 2 holes, printed circles 1 1/2" on center, printed on the patterns provided, that hold the pin back mechanism's ends in place, just hole punch or poke and cut out with embroidery like, sharp, pointy scissors - the Ultrahold adhesive seals the hole edges, keeping them from fraying!
