Edith Twirl Skirt sizes 2-6

Description

I had the privilege of creating this skirt for Heather Bailey's article in the April/May 2008 issue of Mary Engelbreit's Home Companion magazine. This skirt has the best of everything! It's fun and twirly while being luxurious and lady-like at the same time.

This pattern is for sizes 2-6 (but can easily be accommodated for taller children). The finished length is 12 inches for a 2 year old up to 16 inches for a 6 year old. It requires slightly over around 1 yard of fabric for the largest size (depending on the version you choose) and just over 1 yard of lining fabric as well. The smaller sizes require less. You may also wish to have 4 colors of embroidery floss if you choose to embroider the ruffle (pattern and instructions included).

This ebook includes 25 pages of instructions with 45 color pictures and detailed drawings.

I adore this skirt! It comes together so easily and is so twirly, a dream for my daughter. There are a couple different variations and I really could not have been happier with the results

This is a great pattern. I have used it now 3 times and love love love it! It's easy to make and you really can do so much with it. Patten is well writen and I had no problems with it at all. I have made it with the skirt underneath and without super cute both ways. Thanks so much for a great pattern!

I love this skirt pattern! The bulk of the fabric is not around their little waist, and it is a true twirl skirt. You can make it look different everytime you make it to suit the little ones personality. Plus and this is a big plus the creator is email accesable, I wrote to her and asked a question and she got back to me right away. Instructions are easy and clear to follow. Well written Thanks so much!

I have been sewing for a very long time and right now I sew for a charity that makes Easter outfits for underprivileged children. This pattern has breathed new life in my sewing. It is a fabric lovers dream. I can see worlds of possibilities when I look at fabric now. It is so much fun to make and each one has a definite look all of its own. I can just imagine the little girl that receives the skirt loving the twirl. I have experimented with different tops to go with it. Right now am making knit tops with machine embroidery and a few little be-dazzlers . My favorite pattern!
