“Simple to follow, with options. I love options!!”

Size 12 months - Size 8
Dolly sizes: 15-18"

Dish up a boutique classic garnished with couture charm! This layered twirl skirt features sweet scallops and an optional touch of tulle. Mix and match yummy prints for a fun, whimsical delight. For a dressier look, you can use special occasion fabrics like silks and brocades. The scallops are perfect for embellishing with bows, flowers, embroidery, and applique.

This eBook contains templates and step-by-step instructions for making scalloped hemlines for skirts . You are going to be amazed how fun and easy it is to add this complex looking element to your creations! Detailed fitting information and size charts are included so that you can get just the skirt length you are after. Also included is a section on making tulle layers (attached or detachable), which includes instructions for both hand gathering and gathering with a ruffler attachment, as well as some tricks and tips for working with tulle.

Separate templates are provided for sizes XS (12m - 2y), S(3-4), M(5/6), and L (7/8) so the scallops are in scale with the size of the child. As an added treat, a tiny template is included to make a dolly-sized serving of “twirl scallopini.”

super cute pattern however I thought the velcro on the tutu fabric added a stiffness to the layers so I sewed it onto the skirt with the fiirst layer.

I love this skirt. I used star fabric for the top layer and stripes for the bottom layer for a cute 4th of July look. My 2 year old loved it and has been wearing it all year.

This skirt takes some precision with tracing and sewing, but the results are awesome! I just love this skirt! I've made it up a few times now and it gets faster everytime, I love that it's unique and my girls get tons of attention. I like putting the "hook side of the velcro" on the skirt- as it gives it an automatic fullness even if she chooses not to wear the tulle layer. SO much fun to add ribbons or bows or embroidery to it. All of her patterns are very clear- you just need to read it 1 page at a time and try not to get ahead of yourself and all will be perfect!

This pattern was very easy to follow. CarlaC includes detailed pictures as well as detailed instructions. The skirt is easy to make when you follow the instruction. The result was a gorgeous little skirt that looked like it was difficult to make!

My granddaughter loved this skirt. It was simple to make and the flexibility of the many sizes will insure it will be made more than once. Great job!

I loved the diagrams with each instruction set! The most thorough instructions I have ever seen, and I have been sewing for 8 years! I did not have to get my seam ripper out even once!!! The fit and look were not awkward at all. It hung like the model picture! And I love the fact that you do not have to trace out the other pattern sizes. Just print out the size you need! Brilliant work CarlyC Dolly Designs! Well done!

This dress took me a little more time since I could only work on it at night, but the step by step directions and photos make it possible for any level sewer to make this dress. I made this as a birthday gift for my daughter's friend- I need to make one for her too!
