This apron will have you heating up your kitchen. It features a gathered halter design...understatedly feminine, but without all the ruffles and that many "girlish" aprons have.

This is a vintage inspired full apron with a gathered halter neckline and a skirt with soft gathers at the waistline. The skirt measures 20" (51cm) from waist to hem. It features 2 1/2" (6cm) thick waist ties that are approximately 112" (284cm) from end to end and can either be tied in a back bow, a front knot, or a front bow. The necktie is one piece. It is 1 1/2" (4cm) wide and approximately 40" (51cm) long. It is are fully-adjustable so the apron will fit the way you want it to.

This apron is functional as well as cute. It has a rounded patch pocket (perfect for a recipe card, your MP3 player, or your cell phone). The towel loop at the waistline keeps your towel handy so you can dry your hands on your towel and not make a mess of your cute new apron.

As a bounus, this ePattern also includes:
*Additional instructions for making an gathered half apron...it's almost like getting two patterns for the price of one!
*Both customary unit (yards, inches, etc.) and metric unit (centimeters) measurements

This apron design was tested on a variety of shapes and sizes and would be categorized as a Small/Medium (approximate off the rack dress sizes 2 to 12).
It was made to fit the following measurements:
Bust - Between 30" and 38" (76cm and 97cm)
Waist - Between 22" and 32" (56cm and 81cm)
Hips - Between 30" and 38" (76cm and 97cm)

Note: These are downloadable instructions and pattern pieces for making an apron. Since it is a download, a window will open to download and when you are signed into your user account at the time of purchase, it will also be located in the "My Library" section of your user account immediately after purchase.

1 Yard [92 cm] 44/45" wide Fabric (for skirt and bib)
3/4 Yard [69 cm] 44/45" wide Contrast Fabric (for waistband, waist ties, pocket and neckties)
3/8 Yard [35 cm] Fabric (for bib lining, can use muslin or contrast fabric if you purchase extra)
Thread to match
**Half apron needs 2/3 yard [61 cm] of Fabric (for skirt) and 5/8 yard [57 cm] of fabric for waist band, pocket and waist ties
Other Supplies:
A Good Pair of Scissors and Sewing Pins
A Sewing Machine (not a serger)
A Ruler (a sewing ruler is nice, but any ruler that’s at least 12" [30 cm] in length will work fine)
A Fabric Marking Pen or Pencil (can use a regular graphite pencil in a pinch)
A “Dull Pointed” Object (anything like a crochet hook, a chopstick, a very dull pencil, etc. - This will be used to make nice points at the ends of your waist ties)
A Straight Long Skinny Object - a ½" to 3/4" [1.5 to 2 cm] wooden dowel works best, but if you don’t have a dowel you can use a long spoon handle, a thick crochet hook, or a clean broom handle for turning your ties.
