“This dress is easy to make and is very cute. I would suggest that you print the pattern before you purchase your fabric. I made a size 7, and the pattern is too wide at the bottom to fit on a 45" wide fabric.”
The Zelt dress has been in the back of my mind for quite some time and it’s finally out and ready for the world! I’ve always loved the shift and tent dresses from the 1960s (and again in the 1990s when I was in grade school) and just NEEDED to make this into a pattern! Oversized retro prints work best with this dress.
Twirly and billowing (Zelt is German for tent, btw), this dress has lots of volume and packs a lot of punch but is clean lined and simple to sew up. An invisible zipper closes the back of the dress. Never attempted a zipper before? Don’t worry; the instructions will walk you through it step by step.
Sizes include months, 12 months, 18 months, and 2-12.
You may sell items made from this pattern in small batches. Please credit pattern to The Eli Monster. Pattern is copyrighted; do not sell or copy pattern.
