These simple & graphic designs are really fast to
stitch up and can be done in a variety of stitches.
I used a basic back stitch for mine,
you could also use any color of thread,
why not try a metallic thread or even a neon for a modern feel?!
Because these designs are so simple & geometric,
they are perfect for young people to complete.
They’d be wonderful for your Holiday home decor,
Tree trimming & gift giving this year!
2.5" x 2.5"
Fits a 4" Embroidery Hoop
When I had the idea for this collection,
I was inspired by Wilson Bentley, "The Snowflake Man"
Who was an extraordinary photographer & scientist
Who pioneered the art form of capturing
the fragility and impermanence of a snowflake.
During my research I came across the story,
observations and drawings of
William Scoresby junior DD, FRS (1789-1857)
I wanted to feature this remarkable mans efforts
by taking a few of his Snow Crystals,
and making them available
as an easy embroidery pattern.
You can find out a little more about William Scoresby in this blog post I did:
I hope you stitch up a little history with me this Holiday Season!
