“This is a great go to pattern. I have made it twice and will be making it again. It can be used as a sundress in the summer and as a jumper in the winter. I will be sad when granddaughter outgrows it.”

No more searching for the perfect A-line dress--this fully reversible dress for girls gets a perfect "A" for style and fit! Easy and quick to sew with plenty of room for appliques and embroidery. You'll reach for it all year round to make as a sundress in the warmer months and in denim or corduroy to pair with a top and tights when it gets cool.

Sizes included: 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6

Sewing level: Beginner provided you know how to buttonhole, or use the sew-in snaps option.

As with all Tie Dye Diva patterns, step-by-step instructions, color photos and diagrams, and full-sized, computer-drafted pattern pieces are included. Stitching lines are diagrammed right onto the photos so you never need to guess where to sew.

No serger or seam finishing needed and only 3" or less of handsewing to complete (you can also machine sew the final step if you prefer). You can substitute sew-in snaps for buttons.

Tie Dye Diva patterns have been on You Can Make This since 2007.

• Fabric: for EACH of main and reverse of dress:
- size 2T: 2/3 yard
- size 3T: ¾ yard
- sizes 4T, 5 and 6, 7/8 yard
This is the most you’ll need for a directional (one-way) print; you'll use less if your print does not have a direction. Choose midweight cottons, corduroy or denim for main, midweight cottons for reverse.

• Two or four ¾” or 7/8” diameter buttons

Super easy pattern but again, found it to run small.

Great construction technique! This pattern seems to run a tad small (the 2T just barely fit a child that just started wearing a 2T). This dress is a little straighter than some A-Line dresses. I will make a larger size, maybe two sizes larger and adjust the "swing". I enjoyed sewing this and the pattern instructions were great.

I really liked this pattern. The directions were simple and clear. I did have a little bit of trouble getting two of the pattern pieces to fit together even though I know I printed them correctly and measured the 1" square correctly. This is the only reason I gave it a 4 instead of a 5. I went ahead and made the dress the best way I could get the pieces to work and it still looked great. I was quite pleased.

Brilliant pattern! I nearly ran to the fabric store after reading through the pattern. I love that this is reversible. It will be so much fun making several of these in my daughter's favorite novelty prints - quick to sew up and so cute!

I had to end up buying a different pattern. I didn't like the way the pattern pieces went together :(
