Make your own Happy Reindeer! This is the baby version before he is all grown up with a big rack of antlers and all that hair.

This is my original design/pattern, designed by me with a trusty pencil, big eraser and paper. Created in mid 2014.

Some hand sewing/stitching is required to applique the nostrils and apply the smile.

 5” x 10” square of tan minky
 ~1/4 yard chocolate brown duck canvas for bridle
 ~1/2 yard stone color duck canvas for head
 ~1/4 yard quality charcoal suede fabric (for muzzle & antlers…try two different shades of charcoal)
 5” x 5” square each of white suede, black suede, light gray suede and caramel swede
 Small package Heat N Bond Light (sewable)
 1 skein black embroidery floss (because that is the least amount you can buy…you won’t need that much)
 ~1/8 yard white luxury shag faux fur, 1.5 inch pile
 ~16 oz poly-fil (fiber filling) (~10oz for pony size)
 1” x 36” wooden dowel (for standard size) or 7/8” x 24” wooden dowel (for toddler size)
 11” Zip Tie (optional, see equipment list for alternative method below)
 18” navy or dark blue cotton webbing (for embroidered bridle option)
 2 – ¾ “ D Rings
 Sewing thread for embroidered bridle option: Hot Pink, Cornflower Blue and Red
 1 skein yellow embroidery floss (for embroidered bridle option)
 1 ½” wooden ball with either a 1” hole (horse size) or 7/8” hole (pony size) drilled in about ½ inch (this is optional and is to help keep the dowel from eventually rubbing through the fabric)
