Summer Stars quilt captures the joys of a summer night. The big dipper shines in the patchwork sky, helping the children below capture fireflies. The top of the quilt is a patchwork of blue, the bottom is a panel from Sarah Jane for Michael Miller Fabrics.
The stars are sewn with raw edge applique. The finish is a ruffled rag edge. This gives the quilt a relaxed folk style.
