The watermelon and strawberry aprons and pot holders are so pretty and easy to make! Instructions are included to make the children’s watermelon and strawberry aprons in three sizes – 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8; and the misses’ watermelon and strawberry aprons in four sizes – 8/10, 12/14, 16/18 and 20/22. The finished pot holders are 6” x 7 1/2”. The aprons are made from fabric rectangles with ribbon casing and ties. Elastic is inserted through the ribbon casing. Bias tape is sewn around the pockets, pot holders and bottoms of the aprons (detailed instructions are included for sewing the bias tape).

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CHILDREN’S APRON (watermelon or strawberry):
-44/45” Cotton solid or print fabrics – 3/8 yard for top rectangle, 1/8 yard for middle rectangle, 1/8 yard for bottom rectangle, 1/2 yard for lining rectangle
-1” Ribbon – 2 yards
-Medium or jumbo rick rack – 1 yard
-Extra wide double fold bias tape – 1 yard
-Buttons – three 1/2” black (for watermelon apron) or one 3/4” green (for strawberry apron)
-3/8” Satin ribbon – one 3 1/2” piece (for strawberry apron only)
-Sewing thread – coordinating color

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR MISSES’ APRON (watermelon or strawberry):
-44/45” Cotton solid or print fabrics – 1/2 yard for top rectangle, 1/8 yard for middle rectangle, 1/4 yard for bottom rectangle, 5/8 yard for lining rectangle
-1” Ribbon – 3 yards
-Medium or jumbo rick rack – 2 yards
-Extra wide double fold bias tape – 2 yards
-Buttons – three 3/4” black (for watermelon apron) or one 3/4” green (for strawberry apron)
-3/8” Satin ribbon – one 3 1/2” piece (for strawberry apron only)
-Sewing thread – coordinating color

MATERIALS NEEDED FOR POT HOLDERS (watermelon or strawberry):
-44/45” Cotton solid or print fabric – 1/4 yard
-Cotton batting – one 9” x 15” rectangle
-1” Ribbon – 7” piece
-Medium or jumbo rick rack – 1/2 yard
-Extra wide double fold bias tape – 1/2 yard
-Buttons – Four 3/4” black (for watermelon) or two 3/4” green (for strawberry)
-3/8” Satin ribbon – one 3 1/2” piece (for strawberry only)
-Sewing thread – coordinating color
