This pattern is for adorable smocked bloomer style shorts. The small amount of smocking can be stitched up quickly! The bloomer style leg is a cute fashion touch. The shorts can be made of any summer style fabrics, such as quilting cottons, pique, linen, or seersucker, but they would be just as fun for fall in lightweight wool or feather wale corduroy and worn with tights or leggings. The fit is loose both in the body of the shorts and the leg band. You will want to make several pairs of these!!
*Note: These are downloadable instructions and pattern pieces for making shorts with smocking. Since it is a download, a window will open to download and when you are signed into your user account at the time of purchase, it will also be located in the "My Library" section of your user account immediately after purchase.
Not for a novice sewer. Instructions can be tricky to follow and I found that the pattern pieces didn't line up as expected.
