“This pattern is easy to sew even for a novice. The directions and pictures are very easy to understand. I made two skirts, but plan on making more in the future.”
The Sixth Grade Skirt is an a-line silhouette skirt with lots of design options. With velcro closure in back, it's easy on and off for little hands. This pattern is also a perfect starter pattern for girls that want to learn to sew for their dolls, or for more experienced seamstresses to make a basic doll wardrobe.
Skill level: Very Easy
This classic but simple skirt is very easily made from a quarter yard of fabric (quilter's fat quarters work great!) in a woven cotton or light denim. Choose from three easy variations- make the skirt center panel from matching or contrasting fabric, try my easy pleated version, or layer lace for a trendy look. The design options are unlimited!
Your instant download file will include full color photos, full sized pattern pieces and directions. Just print and sew!

This is a great fast and easy pattern. I made a couple of skirts for my granddaughter's 18" doll and they turned out great and looked very professional. I made one of them with the pleated panel in the front and that was also easy to do. Very good instructions with lots of pictures. Will be using this pattern a lot.
Love this skirt. It is fast and easy and it fits well. This is a pattern I will use over and over.
