Your Hearts for Hearts ® or Les Cheries ® doll will be ready for a day at school or at the playground in her cute, trendy skirt! The Sixth Grade Skirt is an a-line silhouette skirt with lots of design options. With Velcro closure in back, it's easy on and off for little hands. This pattern is also a perfect starter pattern for girls that want to learn to sew for their dolls, or for more experienced seamstresses to make a basic doll wardrobe.
Skill level: Easy (the small size makes this pattern a little harder, but still very easy with just straight line sewing!)
This classic but simple skirt is very easily made from a quarter yard of fabric (quilter's fat quarters work great!) in a woven cotton or light denim. Mix and match the pieces of your skirt to create a unique design just for your doll. It's such a quick and easy sew, you won't want to stop at just one! Pair your skirt with a Popsicle Top (also available from Oh Sew Kat!) to complete the look.
Your instant download file will include full color photos, full sized pattern pieces and directions. Just print and sew!
This pattern was designed and tested on 14 inch Hearts for Hearts ® and Les Cheries ® sized dolls only. You should measure and test the fit on your own doll as you sew, especially before stitching the velcro ®. My dolls have waist measurements from 5 1/2 to 6 1/4 inches.
