Every little girl deserves a pretty bonnet to keep the sun and wind out of her eyes and protect her precious skin. Bonnet also covers ears for added protection.
“Sew Modern” bonnet offers great style and full protection from the hot and cold elements of all seasons. Choose a pretty modern and funky cotton for spring and summer and a light weight fleece for fall or winter.
I have designed the bonnet in 3 different styles.
View 1 reversible bonnet has a seam between the bonnet and brim to help keep it sturdy and also you can change the fabric at this seam to make it up to 4 coordinating colors.
View 2 reversible bonnet has no seam and is all one fabric construction on each side. It would be the easiest to make. Rick rack is an optional addition to this view.
View 3 lined bonnet is my version of an heirloom bonnet. I add a row of sweet embroidery across top of bonnet where brim turns back to. I shortened the brim on this bonnet for a more tailored and dressy look. I used satin ribbon ties and roses made from the ribbon.
See last picture for complete fabric types, yardage and notions.
