“loved it worked out great and uses up all those shirts I just couldnt throw away”

This pattern will become your little girl’s favorite. It includes easy to follow step-by-step instructions and measurements to draft a pattern ranging from size 6M to 5T and takes about 2 hours from start to finish. The instructions walk you step by step through making your own ruffle skirt or skort out of a men’s t-shirt. Using a t-shirt eliminates several steps you would see in a typical skirt/skort pattern.
T-shirts have such great graphics and can make unique one-of-a-kind pieces of clothing…. you will never throw away a vintage or screen printed tee again! You can even use event t-shirts and holiday t-shirts for gifts or special occasions. Recycling t-shirts is not only an economical way to make clothing for children, but also an easy way to make comfortable, soft clothing that you could never find in a store!

My original PDF tutorial includes:

:: step-by-step instructions and measurements to draft a pattern ranging from sizes 6M to 5T (pattern is very adaptable to all sizes, finished measurements are included as well)
:: 20 pages of easy to follow step-by-step complete sewing instructions
:: 36 full color images, diagrams and drawings to demonstrate pattern specifics
:: Bonus instructions for embellishing a matching top with 5 full color images)
Materials:
:: A large t-shirt (needs to be around 19 to 20” wide minimum for all sizes larger than 6-12M). When choosing your t-shirt keep in mind that men’s t-shirts tend to work the best since they do not flare at the bottom and tend to be wider.
:: Coordinating Thread (100% polyester thread is the best for sewing knits)
:: Safety Pin
:: ½ inch wide elastic for waistband (size of waist plus 1 inch)
:: Optional materials: A jersey ball point or a stretch needle for sewing knits

20 pages, 36 full color images, diagrams and drawings, 5 bonus full color images for embellishing a matching top.

*Note: These are downloadable instructions for making a recycled skirt/skort. Since it is a download, you will receive this by email and it will also be located in the "My Library" section of your user account immediately after purchase.

LOVE all our lil blue patterns. And my girls love going through old t-shirts looking for things for skirts, dresses or pieces of dresses. THANKS
