I just made two of these for a birthday gift and put a book inside each one. They turned out darling! I didn't even have to use my seam ripper once!!! (A rarity for me) The longest part really, is cutting the fabric. However, it is so worth it!!!

I just made this owl tote for my 10-year old granddaughter's birthday. She absolutely loved it! The instructions were easy to understand, and the tote was very easy to sew. Thanks for helping me be a "great" grandmother in her eyes! :-)

I haven't made this tote yet, but have the fabrics bought to make one for a grandaughter who will be 3 in November. She loves owls. Maybe I'll remember to post a pic when it's finished.

I made 2 of these for teacher's gifts after my young son begged me to make them since he thought they were adorable. They are super easy to make. I found that by making a pattern out of cardboard before starting that it made making the subsequent bags go a lot faster. Also, note that if you are making these for adults that you should make the straps at least 25" long versus the 20" in the instructions. All my daughter's friends in High School love this bag and have all requested one too. Wonderful pattern......I will make this many times.
