“Turned out amazing :)”

He's been your biggest fan, your pal, your hero, and more. Show Dad what he's meant to you all these years. With a shadow box, an old shirt, a photo, and some embroidering, you can make a keepsake he'll treasure for years to come. And the fact that you've made it by hand will mean all the more to him.

This project requires minimal sewing (one straight seam only), some skillful gluing, a flair for embellishing, and knowledge of basic embroidery stitches. Please download my free eBook, Stitching Essentials, available through You Can Quilt This and You Can Make This for reference and instructions for these stitches if needed.

Required Materials:

-Shadow box - rectangular or square, approximately 8.5" or larger.
-An old shirt of Dad's
-Photo of Dad
-Section of thin quilt batting - slightly larger than the shadow box
-White poster board
-Spray adhesive and glue stick
-Embellishments such as brads, photo turns, washers, jute, fishing hook and lure, an old tie, tie tack, etc.
-Embroidery needle and hoop
-DMC Embroidery Floss
-Sewing machine and coordinating thread

*Note: These are downloadable instructions for making a stitching. Since it is a download, you will receive this by email and it will also be located in the "My Library" section of your user account immediately after purchase.
