The monkey and sheep bib and burp Pad sets are very easy to make. The bib is 7 1/2” wide (that doesn’t include the ears on the sides). The length is 8 3/4” from the top of the bib to the bottom (the length of the bib is 6 1/4” under the neck). The burp pad measures 7 1/2” wide by 19 1/2” long. They can be made for girls and boys.
MATERIALS NEEDED TO MAKE ONE BIB OR BURP PAD (EITHER STYLE):
-Fabric rectangles are a guideline –They don’t need to be precise amounts.
-Fabric – 1/4 yard light to medium weight cotton print for front and back of bib or burp pad; 1/8 yard chenille, fleece, etc. for ears; 4” x 6” rectangle of cotton solid for face; 2” x 3” rectangle of cotton print for cheek circles.
-Fusible fleece – 5/8 yard will make bib and burp pad set
-Iron-on fusible web – 4” x 6” rectangle for face and 2” x 3” rectangle for cheek circles
-Sewing thread – color that coordinates with fabrics
-Embroidery floss – white & a color for the eyes and mouth
-5/8” Satin ribbon – two 13” pieces of a coordinating color for neck ties
