Dakota is a swing top pattern with a myriad of options. Make it sleeveless for the Summer months or with sleeves for the cooler months. Add a hood, lace overlays or designer trims for a bit of extra flair. Use your favorite designer cottons or knits for a casual look, or dress it up with fancier fabrics. Any way you make it, the Dakota Swing Top will be a beautiful new addition to her wardrobe.
I found this pattern easy and simple to make. I've made three already, two with sleeves and one sleeveless! Fits well and looks nice!
THIS was a really cute shirt pattern !
Yet another great pattern by Modkid. I absolutely love this pattern. Like all Modkid patterns, the instructions and diagrams are clear and easy to understand and the sizing is spot on. I made the VIEW B top for my daughter with some really cute Japanese cotton/linen fabric and it turned out beautiful. I am now making another one for my niece in some Amy Butler cotton voile. You won't be disappointed if you buy this pattern. I only wish it came in adult sizes 😊
SUGGESTED FABRICS: Can be made in woven fabrics (e.g. quilting cotton, shirting, voile, gauze, lawn, linen, or muslin) or with knits (e.g. jersey, interlock, or stretch velvet). Try a hooded version in fleece, minky, or faux fur.
This pattern comes in sizes 2T (toddler) to 12 (girls). See picture for fabric requirements and sizing charts.
