This fun, funky notebook is perfect for your own use or as a gift. It features painted fabric pages with clever, tiny note holders. Separating each fabric page is a paper page os you can add drawings, sketches or make notes. Makes a perfect travel journal for a short trip.

Supplies:
Acrylic paints
Assortment of brushes and stamps
Envelopes with see through panel
Embroidery threads
Metal prong attachment to hold papers together
Buttons and other devices as pictured to use for attaching tags
100% cotton fabric to paint – 3 pieces, approximately 9″ x 13″
Painting a piece this size will allow you to cut it into 4 pages. You need 12 pages for this notebook, including the cover.
If you have smaller pieces of fabric you wish to use for the pages and cover, you need 4 pieces 4″ x 6″ for the front and back covers and inside front and back covers. You need 8 pieces 3-7/8″ x 5-7/8″ for the pages.
Paper for notebook pages 3 sheets – 11″ to 12″ x 3-7/8″
I use a mixed media paper, about 90# weight.
Fold each page in half so each half is 5″(+ or -) x 3-7/8″.
Beads for embellishment on the binding
Linen thread for binding, about 17″
Book binding needle or substitute
Scraps of non-painted fabric for hinges for fabric pages and covers
3-7/8″ x 1″ - 6
Craft glue or glue stick
Scraps of mixed media paper or lighter weight watercolor paper for hanging tags
and note cards

1) hanging tags - The size can vary but I make mine about 1¾″ x 2″. The size depends on how you hang and place the tags on a page. The number you need depends on how many tags you wish to add to the book.
2) note cards - Piece of paper to fit in each see through envelope or pocket you use. Size depends on the size of your envelope piece or pocket. I paint larger pieces of scrap paper and then cut them to size before I put them in place.
⅛″ hole punch
Decorative edge scissors
Card from a cereal box
2 – 3½″ x 5½″
Black thread for sewing around the outside edges of the pages
Small plastic clips or alligator clips to hold pages in place while sewing the pages
together or binding the notebook
