“Meg” was inspired by one of my all time favorite books...:Anne of Green Gables. This set includes not one but two pieces to add to your little ones wardrobe. First a classic little girl’s dress with and empire waist and those oh, so important “Puffed sleeves”. The companion piece is an adorable pinafore that goes over the top of the dress and has sweet little ties on the sides. “Meg” is sure to be a favorite, for both you and your little Miss.
This adorable dress pattern is designed with every sewer in mind. If you are new to sewing or a seasoned pro you will find this design fun and easy to put together. My patterns are filled with detailed instructions and lots of illustrations to help you along the way.
Note: These are downloadable instructions and pattern pieces for making a dress. Since it is a download, a window will open to download and when you are signed into your user account at the time of purchase, it will also be located in the "My Library" section of your user account immediately after purchase.

What's NOT to love?? :) First of all, I must say how much I LOVE downloadable patterns. Not only do you get it instantly, you also have all the sizes that the pattern indicates and you can print it off hundreds of times without having to buy the pattern again (unlike traditional patterns where you either use it for one size or go to the trouble of tracing all the other sizes first).
Secondly, I really find the photos so helpful. With traditional patterns, the pictures aren't terribly helpful sometimes and these pictures were clear and plentiful.
There were a couple of spots that were confusing (like another post says about the underskirt/overskirt but I managed to figure something out).
I wanted to make it into a long sleeve dress rather than short sleeves and it was really easy to do. I would definitely recommend this pattern to everyone :)
It's a very cute dress - found it hard to get on and off, even though not tight when wearing.
Had some difficulties with pattern, there was one part that didn't make total sence but figured it out.
Although the finished dress is sweet, I am not very happy with the pattern itself. I'm an advanced beginner, and found the "finger pleating" instructions extremely confusing. Also, mention is made of an underskirt which isn't detailed in the cutting instructions. There are other directions that weren't clear, either. And, the markings for the buttonholes are not included! I know many folk can figure all that out on their own, but a beginner needs the markings. And I was surprised interfacing is not required ... that is a first for me when buttonholes are required.
I did email the pattern creator for help, but didn't hear back.
I am a follower of these patterns. All are easy to follow, detailed instructions, and simple to sew. The final product is beautiful.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this pattern! I made my daughter both the dress and pinafore for her to wear last summer to Pinoeer School here in our small town. She looked like she stepped right off the prairie. She loves the twirlability in the dress, and I love that she's been able to wear it for other occasions and will probably be able to wear it again this summer. Gorgeous finished product!
