“Another fantastic SB pattern. I used this to make village maid costumes for our community theater. They were easy to cute and quick to sew. They flattered each different body shape of our maids. very happy.”

The Meghan peasant imparts a stunning silhouette to women of all shapes and sizes. It is relaxed and so easy to wash and wear, but can be made as dressy as you choose with lots of sleeve and length options. The flattering empire bodice can be made with a plunging neckline that shows a bit of décolleté, or it can be made to be a bit more modest, depending on your comfort level. The vibrant damasks, florals, and stripes from the Sis Boom Collection are perfectly suited for this style. Use a single fabric for a classic, continuous look, or mix and max for bohemian patchwork fun.

Materials:
-Notions - thread, straight pins, 1/4" elastic, 1/2" single fold bias tape (for bell sleeved option)
-Fabric - 2.5-4 yards, depending on size, style, and options.

I made my daughter a shirt using this pattern. I do agree it was a little low and did not seem to lay right under the bust area. I will have to make some adjustments but I will use again.

Very quick and easy pattern. Made this dress for my 11 year old grand-daughter, and she wore it for Thanksgiving with leggins & flats. She loved it, and so did the rest of the family! I can't wait to make more for this summer for my grand-daughter, and myself!

I tried to line this dress with a thin cotton it so thick it looked horrible. Not the patterns' fault, I just wanted to try it on my own. Just wanted anyone that thought the same thing to know ahead of time. Would like to try this again some time!

This pattern has sooooo many pages (the reason for only 4 stars) I did read through all the instructions and tried to print out just what I needed, still ended up using alot of paper and ink.

But on the other side of the coin, the pattern is very clearly written, easy to understand and sews up quickly. I love the style of the dress and with all patterns, the first is a "sample" and you make adjustment from that. Very simple, easy to follow, and a style that can be worn by anyone at anytime. Makes a nice blouse also.

Quick and easy pattern to put together. Simple enough that even a novice sewer could do this as a first project.

The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I love the top of this dress, but I agree with the reviewer that stated that the skirt puffs out around the hip find myself fidgeting with the fabric below the bustline. Perhaps with some tweaking I could love it. Thank you for creating this pattern.

very nice pattern and easy instructions, even for this self professed long time novice. :) i do plan to make some of my own modifications to make the skirt fuller and bring up the neckline next time but it still an awesome one as is!

200 pages? I had to run out to the store to buy more paper. I will not be able to make this top for my daughter yet, as I have to buy more ink now, before I can finish printing out the patterns in her size. Not sure I will waist the time and cost of supplies printing out the directions.

It appears I am the only one that did not like this dress. I agree that the pattern goes together quickly and the instructions are very clear. To make it more modest in the chest area, I followed the pattern and instructions. The extra was added under the bustline and not above the bustlline so the end result compensated for a fuller bust but did not add a higher necklline. Since I don't have a full bust, I had extra fabric under the bust. I also did not like the skirt shaping. I thought it was a great idea as I made the dress but when I tried it on I had unslightly bumps. The sleeves were cute and nicely shaped.

This is an easy and fast pattern. It works wonderfully as a maternity top or dress as well. This pattern is so easy to follow and I would recommend it for a beginner. This dress or top is really easy to dress up or dress down. So many variations with this pattern so you can really customize it for any occasion!

I just finished making this dress for my 11 year old daughter. The pattern pieces were easy to put together and the instructions were very easy to follow. Heaps of pictures and step by step instructions allowed this dress to come together easily and beautifully! Thank you so much for puting together a pattern for a more adult version of the otherwise boxy looking peasant dress!

Love this pattern! I have made two dresses so far, one from 100% cotton as suggested and one from cotton interlock as a night gown (I added an extra layer of fabric in the front bodice for extra support and coverage as my material was white). The suggested pattern measurements/ sizes are spot on (maybe a little on the large side) and the directions are very easy to follow. I omitted the elastic from the bell sleeve and this gives a very flattering result. I can't wait to make more! dresses using different colour combinations. I recommend this pattern for anyone starting out in sewing as it is easy to follow and will give guaranteed results.

I made this dress last weekend. It turned out perfect. So comfortable as well. I can't wait to make more. The directions are excellent. I have been sewing since I was about 5 and have noticed that the pattern industry has made it difficult for new sewers to learn on their own. Not with this pattern. I think it applies to beginners as well as the advanced. There are templates and measurements for everything included. There is no guess work at all. I LOVE they way Jennifer puts a pattern together and will go look at more she has done.

This is a great pattern. I made the bell sleeve version, knee length. I didn't actually add the elastic for the bell sleeve and I like the way the sleeve flows. I used one fabric for the entire dress. It came together quickly and easily - I cut it out and had it complete in just a few hours.

LOVE this dress! This is the 1st time I've actually made myself a clothing item. I'm always sewing for someone else. It is just darling...wore it to church last night & got several compliments. The hardest part is figuring out which fabric to use. Can't wait to make another & look forward to more patterns from SisBoom.

I purchased this pattern last night, printed it out, and made it up this morning, I love the top, I made an 1X and will make it one size larger next time, but very clear instructions, and it comes out beautifully, will be selecting fabrics to make a tri coloured one next I think. Thanks so much for the pattern, is so worth purchasing.

I just made my first dress from this pattern & I LOVE it!!! I made a size S with the middle bodice length. Next time I will probably make the next size up. It went together pretty easily thanks to the fact that CarlaC is the one who wrote the directions & included great hem templates!

I made this dress in about an hour yesterday. Cutting the fabric took about 15 minutes. The instructions are so detailed and easy! I used a size L and took the sides in a little more. I cannot wait to shop for more fabric to make more of these dresses. They'll be great for summer, but even now I can wear tights and a light coat over it for church or out to dinner. Love it!
