Leaf-shaped mats (12" x 18") consist of tops that are fused, topstitched color sections—no hand sewing or curved piecing. Add batting, backing and machine quilt, then construct gusseted stem casing (stem with “leg” that forms a fabric napkin ring) and topstitch to leaf. Slip your accordion-folded (9 ½" square) napkin through stem to form 3-D "leaves". Complete foliage festivities by constructing leaf-shaped beverage coaster (3 ½" x 6").
