“Simple and clear instructions and a fantastic result. The finished product looks like a really complicated dress but it's not. My girls have a few now and always get comments when we're out and about. The elastic casings in the back are genius.”

I also love patterns that allow me to use a variety of prints, especially those remnants from past projects that are too big to throw away but not quite large enough for a complete garment. A few basic changes in the construction of the garment will achieve a variety of looks. In this pattern, I’ve included 3 necklines, 2 aprons and 4 sleeve variations as well as the option for a bottom ruffle or contrast band to allow for dozens of variations.

I’ve been sewing for 30+ years and have enjoyed trying many new techniques along the way. I wrote this eBook for most levels of sewers, from confident beginner to advanced.

The e-book includes:
* 3 necklines, 2 aprons and 4 sleeve variations as well as the option for a bottom ruffle or contrast band
* 25+ pages of instructions to make dresses in sizes 18M to 10
* 60+ color photos and illustrations
* Printable pattern pages

This pattern is well written and makes the most adorable dress! I widened the waistband section so that I could applique small Frozen characters on it, and it was a great success!

Easy pattern to follow and the finished dress is so cute! With so many options you could create an entire dress wardrobe with just this pattern. My daughter loves this dress and asks for me to use this pattern every time I make a dress for her.

Excellent ideas. I like the elastic back. I found it easier to do than shirring.

This dress is adorable, and I love all the variations. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I found that the sizing doesn't correspond to store-bought sizing, but the measurements given were accurate. I was able to adjust the lengths for my tall girls, and they turned out beautifully. The only caution I would give is to make sure you give yourself enough time to finish this dress; it is a little more involved than I realized it would be. I made 4 of these for my daughters, and it took me much longer than I have needed with other patterns. That said, they looked so cute on my girls, I know I'll be using this pattern frequently.

I haven't made this dress yet because I had a hard time finding the perfect fabric, but I've read through it several times and the directions are very clear. I especially love the directions list that you Can use without pics, that helped me understand the full instructions better. The pattern is well written and very very cute! Love the versatility!

Loved the pattern, easy!! The only problem I had was my back wouldn't shear properly. I think my material was too heavy. I ended up ripping it out and using elastic instead.

Another great Funktional Threads pattern! I combined the bodice with the skirt from the Grace Dress to make my DD's Christmas dress. Both worked well together to give me just the look I wanted. The directions were very clear and easy to understand, and the illustrations make it easy for even a novice to complete this dress.

So cute and so many options. Long sleeve, short sleeve, no sleeve or flutters. Different bodice options and even different skirt choices (skirt is interchangeable with other Funktional Thread patterns). Instructions are easy to follow with good illustrations and pictures. Fits amazing on my daughter due to the elastic casings in the bodice back. Love it.
