These sweet and comfortable underwear are a snap to make, even if you've never sewn with knits. Pattern pieces are included for girls sizes 2T - 11/12 years in two styles, high waist hipsters and lower rise bikinis. They're a great stash buster too, since you only need a small amount of fabric for each pair. No serger is needed for these super easy undies. Basic knit fabric instructions are included, making this a perfect starter project. Alternate instructions are included for using Fold Over Elastic (FOE) for the waistband and leg bands.

Even though being an experienced seamstress I loathe making underwear (mostly because knit fabrics is not my favorite to work with at all) but my eldest daughter refuses to wear underwear because she finds the store-bought stuff to be uncomfortable. The pattern is quick, easy to make, actually matches without trying to pair up funky edges and - most importantly - fits perfectly :) and it doesn't take a lot of fabric at all.

Just like the boxer briefs these are cute, comfy & super easy to make! I made them for my very slim 5yr old twin girls who still were 2t/3t in most underwear. The only thing I wanted to mention is they run a tad snug the size 3/4 fit the twins but they were snugh and there was not enough coverage in the back especially if you have a bubble butt child (they just barely had enough coverage for us and they have tiny bums) I do LOVE the lower rise option. My kids have a short rise just like me & most toddler & kids underwear patterns com up higher then their jeans! The brief rise is to high for them in the front so I went up a size instead. I do recommend it though as long as you aren't pushing the largest size, it is worth every penny, especially if you are looking for something with a lower rise because I haven't found anything comparable out there.

Love it! Have 3 pairs in the making! I love the fact that there is no elastic to dig in and cause discomfort.

WHERE IS THE BEST PLACE TO GET THE FABRIC. DO YOU USE TSHIRT JERSEY MATERIAL FOR MAIN PART???
