Make a small messenger bag with seven pockets using this detailed sewing pattern.
This bag is not large, but it still has lots of room to carry your things! In addition to the main compartment you will have:
*One pocket on the exterior front that is tucked under the flap when the bag is closed.
*One exterior back pocket with a small VELCRO tab closure.
*Two pleated pockets along the sides that are great for keys, water bottles, your phone and other small items.
*One interior pocket that is divided into a small pocket and two pen slips - perfect for a small notebook and your favorite pens.
At the top is a hanging/carrying loop. This is a great detail that I find myself using often with my own bag.
Instructions are included for a button and loop closure. The flap is long enough that it does stay down on its own, so you can skip the button if you prefer.
The strap is adjustable from approximately 28"- 55".
This pattern is suitable for those with some sewing experience or the patient beginner. It takes about 3-4 hours to complete (actual time depends on your own sewing speed).
18 pages total, 13 pages of written instructions & 5 pages of pattern pieces, 26 photos. Pattern pieces are included for all but two small square pieces. You'll need to use a ruler and fabric marker/chalk to draw these pieces on your fabric (dimensions included). One pattern piece requires taping.
