The jungle animal softies are fun and simple to make! They are stitched entirely by hand, using a whip stitch around the felt edges, a running stitch across the arms and legs, and a stem stitch for the muzzle on the monkey and stripes on the zebra. The body-head-ears-arms-&-legs are all together in one pattern shape for each animal – they are not attached separately which can be time consuming and difficult. The finished animals are approximately 5” x 5”. They are made from scraps of wool and acrylic felt. Enlarge or reduce patterns to make the animals different sizes. Safety eyes are used for sample animals – other options for the eyes, are to make them using embroidery, paint or felt.
This 7 page PDF e-pattern includes full size patterns to make four jungle animals – a giraffe, zebra, monkey & elephant; a materials list; detailed instructions written in English; and clear step-by-step photos.
