Ribbon Star Pendant or Ornament

From our I Made This Gallery:

Description

Bring a little bit of the Art Deco era into your life! This eye-catching ribbon star, also called a cockade, is perfect for wearing (in its smaller size) or for hanging as an ornament (in its larger sizes). Based on a 1920s ribbon work technique, this tutorial has been written with beginners in mind.

You'll learn how to make the ribbon star in different sizes, and how to add a button. The tutorial gives suggestions for using your finished piece as an ornament or as a necklace pendant. However, it can also be used as an embellishment on a sash, coat, or purse, or as a hair accessory. It would make a great gift topper!

There are complete step-by-step instructions and 40 photographs.
