Four-way or two-way stretch knit with great recovery, such as bamboo knit, interlock, jersey, ponte knit and sweater knit, is suitable. Ideal stretch is at least 50% (able to stretch fabric from 4” to 6”). Keep in mind the garment will be tighter with less stretchy fabric and it will be looser with more stretchy fabric, so the look of your garment will look different as a result. Woven fabric is not suitable.

Other Materials

- 15” (38 cm) of clear elastic to stabilize shoulder seams
- 5” (13 cm) of single-fold bias tape to stabilize back neckline (optional)
- 12” (30.5 cm) of 1⁄4” (0.64 cm) wide elastic (for ruched t-shirt only)
- 12” (30.5 cm) of 1⁄4” (0.64 cm) wide elastic (for ruched sleeves only)

Fabric Requirements

Most natural fiber shrinks in the wash, be sure to get enough fabric. The requirements below assume that the fabric is already pre-shrunk.
