These colorful potholders are easy to make with mostly simple single crochet stitches. Make the background squares first and then make the fruit and leaves and sew them onto the squares to create a double thickness in the center of the potholder.

US crochet terminology.
LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: Easy
FINISHED SIZE: 7” (18cm) wide x 6.25” (16cm) high
GAUGE: 15 sc = 4”, 17 rows = 4” (10cm)
STITCHES USED: Chain stitch (ch). Slip stitch (sl st). Single crochet (sc). Half double crochet (hdc). Double crochet (dc). Cluster stitch (cl).
