These cute little wallets are decorated with and owl, cat, and dog. You get all three patterns! They measure 3 3/4" x 4 1/2" when folded. Inside you will find 2 pockets to hold whatever you want it to hold. What a cute way to present a gift card as a gift for someone special.

They are done by using hand applique stitches and stitching the appliques to the background. The only machine stitching is at the end where you stitch a line down the center. You can do this by hand too if you prefer.

You don't want to make a gift card case? These little appliques will be cute on anything!

Supplies to Make ONE Case/Wallet:
2 felt squares for outside and inside of case, and the inside pockets
(cut 2 pieces 4 1/2” x 7 1/2”, and 2 pieces 2 1/4” x 4 1/2”)
Scrap of light to medium weight interfacing
(cut one piece just a smidgen under 4 1/2” x 7 1/2”, and 2 pieces just under 2 1/4” x 4 1/2”)
Small scrap of paperbacked fusible webbing (I like to use Heat N Bond Lite, it’s easy to stitch through)
Black embroidery floss
1/2” button for closure
6” piece of 1/8” wide ribbon for closure
A thick craft glue or a hot glue gun (I like the glue gun so I don’t have to wait for drying time)
Sewing thread to match outside (case) felt color if you will be machine stitching your center line

Extra Supplies Needed for Dog:
9” piece of 1/8” wide ribbon, make into a bow for the neck
Small black beads, if using beads for eyes

Extra Supplies Needed for Owl:
2 mini buttons or beads, 7 mm size, I like to use the mini buttons

Extra Supplies Needed for Cat:
9” piece of 1/4” wide ribbon, make into a bow for the neck
2 - 7 mm wiggle eyes

Note about Supplies:
If you don’t keep beads or mini buttons on hand, or you don’t want to satin stitch the mouths and
eyes, you can pick up a bottle of black 3-Dimensional paint and use that for the eyes and noses.

General Supplies:
Scissors, pins, embroidery needle, paper & pencil, cardstock (for printing pattern pieces), iron &
ironing board, measuring tape, cutting mat with ruler & rotary cutter (optional), sewing machine
(optional), marking pen (I like to use one with disappearing ink)
