Oh wow! This volume 4 of the SewBoutique4Dolly series contains the patterns and instructions to create a nostalgic, yet very "in-style" holiday baking ensemble.
"Dollies get lots of attention this time of year, as well. Entire wardrobes are made in anticipation of a new arrival from Santa. The special outfits are often made in secret after the intended recipient has gone to sleep. The look of surprise on her face more than makes up for the lat nights spent at the sewing machine." -Carla, Carla C Dolly Designs
The possibilities are endless with this set. A sweet Valentine's ensemble in pinks and reds with a heart applique on the apron...pretty pastels for Easter dinner...a 4th of July summer barbeque set...whatever the occasion is, dolly will be dressed up in boutique!
Includes full sized patterns and directions for a peasant dress, twirl skirt, apron, and the crowning touch...a chef hat ready for holiday baking!

I bought the Sew Boutique for Dolly instructions primarily to make the Halloween witch costumes. I had a bit of trouble at first trying to figure out how many squares and their measurements were needed in one of the rows for the skirts. That's my own fault for not reading the instructions carefully enough. I had just skimmed it quickly. Once I had all the measurements figured out I had no trouble with the pattern. I made three dresses in black with fancy bottom ruffles. I then made three skirts in Halloween prints. I decided that the skirts didn't do justice to the dresses with a fancy bottom ruffle so I also made three versions of the dress as a blouse top. Then I did six witch hats. I ended up with six Halloween outfits that were a hit amongst the girls I was sewing for.

Love love this pattern. I made the entire set for a Christmas gift for my daughter's new American Girl doll. It came out SO cute! She uses all the pieces separately too, mixing and matching the skirt, under dress, and apron. The instructions are clear and all the pieces fit together nicely. A+!

Adorable pattern! Easy enough that my daughter made several of the hats for her friends as well as several for herself! We didn't do the apron..yet..but the little Chef hat was a definite hit!

You really can not go wrong with this. The pattern is adorable and the instructions are easy to follow. I ordered the pattern last night and made it for a coworker ('s granddaughter). In the two hours before I gave it to her this morning I had three requests for it from people I don't even know. One for her daughter and two more who want a doll and the clothing to display in their kitchens. I'm working on them now and am finding that it is cute in every color scheme I have tried. Thank you!
